ARTIST STATEMENT
I am Selda Bergman, a contemporary abstract artist based in Sweden, creating large-scale modern abstract paintings shaped by color, movement and emotional expression. My work blends intuitive gestures with structured forms, exploring the balance between spontaneity and intention.
Over the years, I have developed several collections :Rainbow, Energy, Butterfly Effect, Dreamscapes and Cubistic each with its own rhythm, palette and conceptual focus. Through these series, I aim to translate inner experiences into visual form, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions, memories and interpretations.
My artistic process is rooted in experimentation, layering and a deep fascination with harmony and contrast. Whether through bold geometric structures or fluid expressive strokes, I strive to create paintings that carry depth, motion and emotional resonance.
In addition to my original works, I also create commissioned pieces, allowing me to explore new directions while staying true to my artistic voice. My paintings have been exhibited internationally, and I continue to pursue new ways of expressing the complexities of the human experience.

My art is born from a world where color, rhythm and emotion intertwine to create their own inner language; every brushstroke becomes part of a flow shaped by this energy. Each painting begins with an intuitive spark and evolves into a balanced visual experience shaped by movement, contrast and layered expression. Through my collections, I explore how abstract forms can communicate feeling, energy and depth.
